The Notorious B.I.G.

Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 - March 9, 1997), best known as The Notorious B.I.G., was an American rapper. He was also known as Biggie Smalls (after a character in the 1975 film Let's Do It Again), Big Poppa, and The Black Frank White (after the main character of the 1990 film King of New York).^[1]
Wallace was raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. When Wallace released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994, he became a central figure in the East Coast hip-hop scene and increased New York's visibility at a time when West Coast artists were more common in the mainstream.^[2] The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the East Coast/West Coast hip-hop feud, dominating the scene at the time.

Yelawolf

Michael Wayne Atha (born December 30, 1979), better known by his stage name Yelawolf, is an American rapper. He is currently signed to Shady Records, Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment and Interscope Records. He is co-managed by Redd Klay Entertainment along with his personal manager Jeremy "J Dot" Jones.
Raised in Gadsden, Alabama, Atha appeared on the reality series The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliott and released his independent debut album Creek Water in 2005. Two years later, Atha signed to Columbia Records and released the single "Kickin'" from his unreleased first studio album, before being released from the label later that same year. From 2008 to 2010, Atha released an extended play and four mixtapes with Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment. Trunk Muzik 0-60, Atha's fourth mixtape, was also released by Interscope Records. In 2011, Atha signed to Shady Records and his debut studio album Radioactive was released on November 21, 2011 to positive reviews. It entered the Billboard 200 at number 27.

Travie McCoy

Travis Lazarus McCoy (born August 6, 1981), known by his stage name Travie McCoy, is an American Pop singer. He is the lead vocalist of the alternative hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes. He released his debut solo album Lazarus on June 8, 2010.
Raised in Geneva, New York, McCoy became involved with punk rock scenes as a teenager. He formed the group Gym Class Heroes with childhood friend Matt McGinley, and after several line-up changes, the group was signed to Fueled by Ramen, and released their debut album. The group achieved mainstream success in 2006 when its album As Cruel as School Children was released, Gym Class Heroes are most notable for the song "Cupid's Chokehold".

Ryan Daniel Montgomery (born July 5, 1977), better known by his stage name Royce da 5'9", is a Detroit rapper. He is known for his longtime association with Eminem and for his solo career, recording primarily with DJ Premier, Nottz and Carlos "6 July" Broady, as well as ghostwriting for the likes of P. Diddy and Dr. Dre. Royce is one half of the rap duo Bad Meets Evil with Eminem and also a member of hip hop group Slaughterhouse.

Jogja Hip Hop Foundation

Biography

Jogja Hip Hop Foundation selanjutnya disingkat JHF merupakan kumpulan para rapper jogja yang membentuk suatu komunitas hiphop. Terbentuk pada tahun 2003. JHF sendiri di bentuk oleh Mohammad Marzuki a.k.a Kill The DJ. Pada tahun 2009 Mohammad Marzuki sang Co.Founder ekspansi musik JHF hingga ke Singapura. Setidaknya ada 4 orang yang melatarbelakangi pembentukan komunitas hip hop Jogja ini, sebut saja diantara mereka Jahanam (Heri Wiyoso a.k.a M2MX dan Balance Perdana Putra a.k.a Ngila) dan Rotra (Janu Prihaminanto a.k.a ki Ageng Gantas dan Lukman Hakim a.k.a Raja Pati).

JHF memberikan wadah bagi para rapper, pecinta musik hip hop atau siapapun itu untuk bisa beragabung dalam komunitas ini secara bebas.Menurut Juki, “Nama Jogja Hip Hop Foundation ini kesannya bagus sekali (foundation = yayasan), tapi aslinya itu adalah komunitas seperti ruang tanpa tembok yang siapa saja bisa masuk dan keluar. Ini bukan sebuah institusi resmi. Saya rasa kalau banyak yang keluar karena itu kan juga pilihan yang sulit di antara pilihan-pilihan musik industri pop di Indonesia. Tapi, aku yakin jika dedikasi dan pilihan itu diberikan pasti bisa ketemu jalannya, dan sampai sekarang kita menemukan jalannya untuk tetap eksis dan memproduksi album, bisa jalan-jalan ke luar negeri juga,” imbuhnya. Pelajaran Juki untuk lebih mengenal budayanya sendiri (budaya Jawa, red) didapatnya melalui musik hip hop berbahasa Jawa. Untuk memperdalam khasanah, budaya serta bahasa tutur Jawa, Juki berupaya mencari kitab-kitab berbahasa Jawa atau serat Centhini. Menurut Juki, semua tembang dalam serat Centhini, baik yang religi maupun yang erotik itu mengandung unsur rap.
